Chris in “E! True Hollywood Story” Mariska Hargitay
christopher meloni online    July 15, 2012    0 comments

I’ll have tonight’s episode of TRUE BLOOD up sometime later tomorrow night. I’ll be at the hospital with my mom till late and I still have to convert the clip. Judging by past weeks looks like it’ll be much later tomorrow or earlier Tuesday. Please be patient. Until I can get that up, I’ll give you a portion of E! True Hollywood Story: Mariska Hargitay where Chris talked about the show and Mariska. I didn’t include the whole show because this isn’t a Mariska Hargitay site. If you really want to view it all, you can go to Youtube and look it up.

Would Christopher Meloni Return to “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”
christopher meloni online    July 14, 2012    0 comments

This is a question Chris was asked recently at the TRUE BLOOD panel at Comic Con.

Would Christopher Meloni Ever Return to SVU?

Stabler and Benson, together again? Maybe for one episode.

During the True Blood panel Saturday at Comic-Con, Christopher Meloni said that he might be willing to return to Law & Order: SVU for the eventual series finale.

“I’m always willing to consider. I had 12 great years on the show. I loved the people and I loved that character,” Meloni said in response to a fan question after some hesitation. “There’s no bad blood there. We’ll just see when it comes. It’s still doing OK, I guess.”

Meloni left the long-running procedural in 2011 after contract negotiations fell apart. SVU will return for its 14th season Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c.

Are you excited at the prospect of Meloni returning to SVU?

Personally, I’d love to see him return for say a half a season. Have Stabler reintegrate by having to re-enter the police force to help solve a series of crimes relating back to old cases Stabler covered. Most notably I’d have to say season three’s Execution guest starring Nick Chinlund as Matthew Linwood Brodus. Not sure how it would be accomplished, but….

So sorry this is late. I had meant to have it up before now but I had to take my mom to the hospital. She broke her hip and has to undergo surgery today. I hope you understand. I also have the preview for next week tacked onto the end of the clip. Enjoy.

“True Blood” E5X04 – We’ll Meet Again Media

Here finally is the media from Chris’ last episode of TRUE BLOOD. I usually heavily edit the caps to make sure there aren’t any other characters in them except for Chris but I thought I’d make an exception. In the bedroom scene with Salome, I kept a couple of reaction shots from Valentina Cervi because I think she’s so purty. I love her and Chris together. They create tons of hot, steaming stuff when they’re on screen together. More please! Could I be the filling in between that Oreo sandwich? Likely not. Ah well, one can hope. Loved the confrontation with Andrew Drew (Jacob Hopkins). One had to know he wasn’t going to last long. Poor kid, he should have known not to come in between Roman and his cause.

“True Blood” Renewed For A Sixth Season
christopher meloni online    July 3, 2012    0 comments

According to Deadline.com TRUE BLOOD has been renewed for a sixth season. More below the cut.

HBO Renews Aaron Sorkin’s ‘The Newsroom’ And ‘True Blood’

Newsroom HBO RenewedHBO has ordered a second season of its Aaron Sorkin drama The Newsroom and a sixth season of its vampire drama True Blood. The renewal of Newsroom comes just over a week after the debut of the series starring Jeff Daniels — the June 24 premiere drew 2.1 million viewers at 10 PM. That result actually put Newsroom ahead of the 1.4 million viewers True Blood drew for its 2008 series premiere. Still, Newsroom‘s debut number was less than half what True Blood earned at 9 PM on June 24, when it drew 4.7 million viewers across two airings. The sixth-season renewal of Alan Ball’s Southern vampire series comes less than a month after the kickoff of Season 5.

Now whether that includes Chris’ return as Roman, remains to be seen and will be determined by his character’s outcome in the final episodes. I’m hoping with Russell Edgington’s (Dennis O’Hare) return, this doesn’t mean that Roman will be facing his ‘true death’ anytime soon. This also means the show will be facing a season without creator and showrunner Alan Ball. What that is going to mean to the show is anyone’s guess.

Note: I’m still in the process of converting the clip. I hate this part of the process. Takes way too long.

Jacob Hopkins on “True Blood” Staking & Christopher Meloni
christopher meloni online    July 2, 2012    0 comments

There’s a cute article on Jacob Hopkins who played one of The Authority members Andrew Drew about his ‘true death’ and working with Chris. Can our guy get any more cuter? Uh uh.

‘True Blood’s’ Jacob Hopkins Dishes on Sunday’s Bloody Scene

The 9-year-old actor, who plays Vampire Authority member Alexander Drew, talks to THR about his character’s intense moment in the fourth episode of season 5.

Jacob Hopkins may be just 9 years old, but on HBO’s True Blood, he’s been playing one of the oldest, most cunning vampires alive, Alexander Drew. Alexander is a member of the Vampire Authority, the government that rules over vampires and is led by Christopher Meloni’s very intense Roman.

On Sunday’s episode, Roman discovers there is a traitor in his group of leaders, and while many viewers probably expected it to be one of the older, shadier looking people in the room, it turned out to be Alexander.

“I think it’s cool sometimes to be the villain,” Hopkins tells The Hollywood Reporter about finding out that his character would be the traitor.

After a heated exchange between the kid-vampire and Roman, Alexander meets the true death, staked by Roman.

THR spoke to Hopkins, whose father is his acting coach, about his character’s traitorous ways and how he prepared for his final, bloody scene.

When Hopkins, whose previous work includes appearances on How I Met Your Mother and a role in Priest, joined the show to play Alexander, he wasn’t aware that he would end up being the traitor of the group, and says he was shocked when he read the script for the fourth episode of season 5.

“I didn’t really know,” he says. “It really surprised me because I didn’t think that I was going to be a traitor on the show.”

He says he played the scene bravely because he feels a vampire that old and in that position of power would not cower even when he had been discovered.

“I didn’t think Alexander was suppose to be scared because he is suppose be a really old and wise vampire,” Hopkins tells THR about his character’s frame of mind.

Hopkins says that the special effects crew and the director of the scene, Romeo Tirone, made sure to walk him through all the details of his dramatic death scene.

One of his favorite moments was getting to touch the pile of blood and guts that was used for after his character Alexander had been staked.

Hopkins tells THR he wasn’t afraid of shooting the gory scene.

“We had done so much preparation and I knew what was happening before we shot it, so to me it isn’t like what the viewers really see,” he says. “I got to touch the stake to and even though it looks real, it’s rubbery.”

Hopkins worked closely with Meloni, who joined HBO’s vampire drama after spending more than a decade on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU. The seasoned actor walked through the death scene with Hopkins before they began shooting.

“Chris told me that he was going to grab me very close and to get in his face and be really angry,” Hopkins tells THR. “He prepared me for what he was going to do before he did it.”

Hopkins adds that working with Meloni was enjoyable since “he’s a dad.”

“He knows how to act with kids. He is a very, very nice and very lovable person,” says Hopkins.

With Hopkins’ run on the show over, the young actor said he was “sort of sad” to leave because he had such a good time.

“But I’m looking forward to keeping my fangs and it was all such a great experience for me,” he says.

I’ll have the media for this episode up when the video is converted. Stay tuned.
