Chris Talks Why Stabler & Benson Never Hooked Up
christopher meloni online    March 31, 2016    0 comments

In his recent appearance on INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO with James Lipton, Chris explained why when he was on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT his character of Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) never hooked up. I’d have to say I agree with him. There should never have been any flirtation with the exception that Neal Baer wanted to give Olivia a family and a love life. I think it would have been such a wrong thing considering too that Elliot was in love with Kathy (Isabel Gillies) and his kids. At no point during the first six and a half seasons did we get any hint of any earnings with Benson, but then Dick Wolf was still fully in charge. When he went off to start his film company he left, bad mistake, Baer in charge who clearly had taken a shining to Benson due to his prior relationship with Hargitay on ER. I’m editorializing I know, but what I said is no less true. Onto what Chris said.

Chris Meloni Explains Why Benson & Stabler Didn’t Hook Up

Rachel and Ross got together. Jim and Pam hooked up and got married. Benson and Stabler…well…never did a damn thing.

Though Chris Meloni no longer stars on Law & Order: SVU, fans are still wondering why he and Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson never used those handcuffs on one another (wink, wink). Sure, Stabler was married, but he and Kathy’s separation would have made an office romance possible (and it did, though unfortunately with a different detective). Benson, meanwhile, had her own dating life and a schedule jam-packed with, you know, kicking ass. Still, couldn’t they have snuck in one little make-out session?

Meloni shed some light on why a hookup never happened during his appearance on Inside the Actors Studio, airing tonight on Bravo.

“I think they [the producers] always knew [a romance] would be the death knell of that relationship,” he said. “I think they needed to keep that line taut and very clear… Keep the tension, never cross it.”

Ugh, fine. We can still ship, though, right?

“I Am Wrath” Trailer Released
christopher meloni online    March 10, 2016    0 comments

Sorry updates have been so few and far between. I’m in the process of beginning a new stage of my life and things have just gotten too backlogged. I know Chris has UNDERGROUND coming out this month and I’m trying to get some things into the gallery I’ve found, but a ton of things to do with so little time to do it. Also I’ve been sick. No excuse I know, but….. Okay, the dog ate my homework. I’m sure Chris would understand that. Ha!

Here is the official trailer for Chris’ new film I AM WRATH where he stars with his TRUE BLOOD alum Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) and John Travolta. The trailer looks really good with a lot of Chris in it, which is definitely a good thing. I’m sick and tired of seeing Chris’ talent being so gravely underused. But this time it looks like the casting department got it right. The only gripe I have with the trailer is that it looks like this film is copying the huge success of the Keanu Reeves film John Wick of last year. There’s a similar scene in Reeves’ film where after the death of his wife and the death of the puppy she gave him to remember her by, Wick goes on a killing spree to avenge Daisy’s killing. In this trailer it shows Travolta knocking out some plaster board with his elbow to take out a suitcase with some guns in it. There is a scene in the Wick film where Wick takes a sledgehammer to crack open a concrete floor where he pulls out a strongbox that has tokens that can be used within the fictional world of Wick, and a lot of guns he plans on using on the men who killed Daisy and took his car. I don’t know about you but I’m so tired of the retread within Hollywood and their inability to make anything original these days. Or if they do a la John Wick, Hollywood then decides they’re going to give us at least fifty different iterations of the same story when John Wick was obviously the better film. Ah well, such is life I guess. But at least Chris has a bigger part in this than he’s had in other productions that have grossly under used him.

Chris As John Taylor in “Call Of Duty: Black Ops III”

Here is an article on the new first-person-shooter game Chris has lent his image to. Chris will play the part of John Taylor.

‘Call Of Duty Black Ops 3’ Release Date And Updates: Gets Law & Order star As Villain

In the latest trailer, a Law & Oder actor is confirmed to portray as a villain for the upcoming Call of Duty game.

With Call of Duty Black Ops III will be arriving soon, they will be bringing some big guns to add more spice to the campaign story. Enter Christopher Meloni; much known to as Det. Elliot Stabler from from Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He will portray as a villain in one of Call of Duty Black Ops III’s story trailer that was just revealed recently, he will play as John Taylor, who also looked like Meloni. You can watch the trailer below.

On the trailer, Meloni becomes the bad guy, as human augmentation was gone awry as John Taylor (Meloni’s character) has some involvement into it. Meanwhile Meloni is having fun on his Twitter account, as he replies to his fans on some questions about his role in Black Ops III where replies with “Run around. Bake a few cakes. Pick flowers… U know, actiony stuff.”

Though this is not the first time Activision hired a celebrity to become a part of a game, last year they hired Kevin Spacey for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, they also had some high profile actors such as Gary Oldman, Kiefer Sutherland, and Sam Worthington and many more for their previous Call of Duty games. Even Back Ops III’s Zombie mode will feature some actors such as Jeff Goldblum, Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, and Neal McDonough.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be available for the current gen consoles (PS4, XBOne), however last gen consoles (PS3, 360) will not have a campaign mode as it will only have the multiplayer mode and zombie mode, Activision has already explained that the campaign mode is harnessing the full potential of the current gen consoles which will be unplayable to the last gen consoles.

Expect to see Black Ops III on November 6, 2015.

Chris To Be The Villain in “Call Of Duty: Black Ops III”
christopher meloni online    October 3, 2015    0 comments

Chris has lent his personage to the video game world in the new gamer video CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III. He will play the character of John Taylor. I have no other word about the plot of the game, only that there is a ton of shooting, death, blood, you name it as per any first person shooter type games. So far the visuals look pretty good. The character actually looks like Chris. No ambiguity there. I have some screengrabs from the trailer I’ll include here.

New Layout & New Candids Policy
christopher meloni online    September 11, 2015    0 comments

Like it isn’t about time. I hope you like the new layout as well as some of the new improvements to the site. I’m hoping to get some of the event images I have as well as some photoshoots I have with Chris up in the gallery very soon. I know some have written to me asking when I’ll get Chris’ work from LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT up in the gallery, namely his episodic work in that, I’m afraid I’m going to have to say that considering the sheer amount of work trying to screencap twelve years worth of episodes, they’ll have to wait till I have the time to do so. My apologies. I’m hoping though to add some episodic stills I have from Chris’ seasons on the show, so please look forward to those. In the meantime I have some of Chris’ films as well as WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: FIRST DAY OF CAMP to edit and post. I hope those will satiate you for a while. So that’s it for now. Enjoy the new layout and I’m hoping it won’t take another two years to get it done. I also wanted to let you know of a decision I’ve made about all my sites. I’ve decided that from now on absolutely NO candids of Chris will be posted to the gallery or the site. This also includes any photos of Chris with Sherman, Sophia and Dante in what are supposed to be private time. Also no images of Chris in an airport or walking on a street will be posted as this constitutes his private life. The exception to this will be if Chris is on set of a television show or film. I have several set side photos of Chris from LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT waiting to film. These will be posted as they do include his working environment. I feel this new policy is not only fair, but warranted considering that what Chris does in his private life is none of our business.
