On behalf of UNABRIDGED, I want to wish Chris a happy birthday. Chris turns 55 today and I’m hoping he spends today with Sherman, Dante and Sophia and a ton of friends, good wine (except if he’s flying), a huge cake, and a wonderful day. Take care Chris and here’s to many more.
I know I haven’t been up-to-date on Chris’ work on UNDERGROUND and other things, but I’ve been entirely too busy to make any updates. I’m trying to get organized amid other things going on in the private life that have taken my concentration away. And I’m truly sorry for the lack of those updates. I’m working on them. Please be patient.
Chris Talks Why Stabler & Benson Never Hooked Up

In his recent appearance on INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO with James Lipton, Chris explained why when he was on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT his character of Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) never hooked up. I’d have to say I agree with him. There should never have been any flirtation with the exception that Neal Baer wanted to give Olivia a family and a love life. I think it would have been such a wrong thing considering too that Elliot was in love with Kathy (Isabel Gillies) and his kids. At no point during the first six and a half seasons did we get any hint of any earnings with Benson, but then Dick Wolf was still fully in charge. When he went off to start his film company he left, bad mistake, Baer in charge who clearly had taken a shining to Benson due to his prior relationship with Hargitay on ER. I’m editorializing I know, but what I said is no less true. Onto what Chris said.

New press release. Chris is set to appear on THE ACTORS STUDIO with host James Lipton. The show consists of talking with actors and actresses about their careers. This is indeed a good thing for Chris. The show is renown for such luminaries as Gene Hackman, Brad Pitt, Cate Blachett, and many others.
Sorry updates have been so few and far between. I’m in the process of beginning a new stage of my life and things have just gotten too backlogged. I know Chris has UNDERGROUND coming out this month and I’m trying to get some things into the gallery I’ve found, but a ton of things to do with so little time to do it. Also I’ve been sick. No excuse I know, but….. Okay, the dog ate my homework. I’m sure Chris would understand that. Ha!
Here is the official trailer for Chris’ new film I AM WRATH where he stars with his TRUE BLOOD alum Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) and John Travolta. The trailer looks really good with a lot of Chris in it, which is definitely a good thing. I’m sick and tired of seeing Chris’ talent being so gravely underused. But this time it looks like the casting department got it right. The only gripe I have with the trailer is that it looks like this film is copying the huge success of the Keanu Reeves film John Wick of last year. There’s a similar scene in Reeves’ film where after the death of his wife and the death of the puppy she gave him to remember her by, Wick goes on a killing spree to avenge Daisy’s killing. In this trailer it shows Travolta knocking out some plaster board with his elbow to take out a suitcase with some guns in it. There is a scene in the Wick film where Wick takes a sledgehammer to crack open a concrete floor where he pulls out a strongbox that has tokens that can be used within the fictional world of Wick, and a lot of guns he plans on using on the men who killed Daisy and took his car. I don’t know about you but I’m so tired of the retread within Hollywood and their inability to make anything original these days. Or if they do a la John Wick, Hollywood then decides they’re going to give us at least fifty different iterations of the same story when John Wick was obviously the better film. Ah well, such is life I guess. But at least Chris has a bigger part in this than he’s had in other productions that have grossly under used him.
